Access Virus Ti Plugin Mac Download
Virus TI not uniform with MacOS Catalina / Big Sur
-
I only installed MacOS Catalina. The Virus Plugin opens fine, simply when I trigger midi notes I get no sound..
It's not my audio-card as everything else is playing fine.

Changed the title of the thread from "No sound with Virus Plugin Logic Pro X 10.4.7" to "No sound with Virus Plugin on MacOS 10.xv Logic Pro Ten ten.iv.7".

Okay so far I've plant out that audio on the Virus'southward headphone out does work, but audio via USB does not!!
DO NOT INSTAL IF YOU Utilize Audio VIA USB!!!!
-
It's not Logic Pro 10 either. I've tried it in both Ableton 10.xi and Reason xi. The Virus TI does announced to receive midi data. It simply can't send audio through USB.
My conclusion is that the Virus TI is non compatible with MacOS 10.15.
-
Have you lot rebooted the Mac since the Catalina install? If non would you mind and then try again please? Thanks.
-
Just had another idea. Become into Arrangement Preferences/Security and Privacy, click on the Privacy tab, then select Microphone on the left-hand side and make certain that Logic Pro Ten is checked. Was it?

I accept the aforementioned problem with Ableton ten (+ RC Beta) and Cubase 10. The plugin opens normally. The midi data / keys are displayed in the virus plugin, only there is no audio. The routing has been checked. All other VST / AU work with sound.

Link's been taken down..... I'1000 fearing the worst that USB audio doesn't piece of work. Standing by....

aye, at that place is something foreign. nosotros accept to dig i deeper (which is a problem because we're missing uniform DAWs). as for the audio output itself, we had x.15 beta testers who confirmed that it _was_ working and we still need to investigate what the issue backside the release version is - for now, you need to utilise the analog outs.
i personally volition stay abroad from catalina for the next month for my music mac, i've already received a ton of alert emails and every bit far as I tin see, sound interface manufacturers also haven't issued any statement that indicates that things are working smooth.
hope that helps, marc

What are you fifty-fifty saying with this? Exercise you hateful Is Admission is working on an update that works on Catalina? Or are you lot suggesting we will have to wait for Apple tree to magically fix this? (which they won't btw, I already tried Beta 10.15.ane) To me that sounds like you're trying to shift the arraign to Apple tree.
My USB sound interfaces and my plugins all piece of work without a problem. Even all the Native Instruments, who issued a special warning nearly Catalina. I get that the Virus a bit more circuitous than a normal plugin merely the fact is, we oasis't seen an update in years. Acces seems more than happy to do zilch virtually it.

Why does Access Music go on to sell an instrument the (virus ti2 line) that they conspicuously no longer support! I paid full price for mine a few years back and at the very to the lowest degree they could show some good will in updating the software for us who nonetheless believe in it and love the instrument.
-
I have a TI2 that I oasis't used in years. I actually work at Apple tree in CoreAudio and will endeavour this out on 10.xv and come across how it goes.
only aside from that, is there any plans to open source the commuter lawmaking if at that place is t going to be any future support going forward? -
-
nosotros are waiting for the visitor who wrote the commuter we employ.
How is the relationship you lot guys have with 'this company' ? Do they still exist ? You're nevertheless communicating ? What practise they say?
The affair is we're all waiting with you and it would be a shame if there would not be anything worth to wait for... -
Tried it out on my car running 10.15, definitely is an result with the sound driver, midi seems to be okay.
Starting IO to the Virus audio device seems to exist timing out by not getting the first zero time stamp. Then definitely something upward with the usb/audio driver, perhaps something incompatible with the 32->64 bit transition?
I wouldn't think this would be a difficult problem to solve if someone looked into it.

This is really frustrating. I have several Logic-Projects ongoing, for which I need my Virus TI (Virus-tracks within the projects accept not been bounced yet). Afterward having updated my Mac with Catalina I tin can not finish them. Does anyone see a manner to solve that problem? What action is access music going to take?
-
Does anyone see a style to solve that trouble?
- Revert to Mac Bone X 10.14 Mojave... if that'southward not an pick, and then
- Try if Virus Command actually works to send MIDI and become the audio back via analogue outputs (there's an option in VC to practise then), if that doesn't piece of work then
- Try to use Virus Control to prepare the patches in your Virus and store the setup in the Seq Fashion Buffer or a Multi Patch, send the MIDI tracks directly over MIDI Cables to the Virus MIDI IN and and record audio via the analogue outputs into your audio interface
What action is access music going to take?
I wouldn't look anything anytime soon. Every major music software company was warning all of their users to NOT install Catalina, withal.
You probably should accept consulted the internet before upgrading...

A hint: The story of Ploytec
Everything else you have to research yourself.
Yep.
I had a dig effectually in the Virus audio driver binary files and Ploytec are indeed in there. 'PloytecHalPluginType' for example and that's why it's not working in Catalina. HAL Audio has been depreciated, doesn't exist in Catalina. Ploytec have to movement to a unlike method called 'Audio Server' instead. This has been around since macOS ten.ix by the way, it's not a new thing! Ploytec do country that " We'll release a CoreAudio-only driver by late 2019 " for their commercial USB Audio commuter so, fingers crossed, they will also update the Virus drivers on behalf of Access Music every bit well.
Hope that helps.
